A similar situation took place before in the Collision Event, where Jones noticed elevated energy readings in an IO base that was already destroyed. But by the time The Origin checked, there was nothing there and he brushed it off as an anomaly. Little did we know, that was foreshadowing Geno's presence during Collision which we saw in Zero War.
