Our fourth and the latest machine is now manufacturing precision springs at 882 pcs/minute. If only I could tell you the amount of mechanical precision the components require to achieve this feat. We have breached the 1000 pcs/minute mark on our CNC spring coiler! Ours is now the fastest CNC spring machine in the country built by an Indian company. This machine is now comparable to speeds and precision of global benchmarks from Germany and Japan of this category. This was a long time coming. We started at a mere 200 pcs/minute. It took us four years of R&D to get here but we finally made it. Also, this machine can go faster. This is not even its full potential. Proudly built in Bharat 🇮🇳

Just two months ago, we were on the verge of letting go of a customer that we had been serving for more than two years. The prices were super competitive as they were procuring these springs from China. According to our cost calculations, we would have to sell them these springs at our breakeven price point. We would not be making any profit from their orders. The volumes were huge and we decided to take up the challenge. In manufacturing, one of the very important metric that your product cost depends on is cycle time. The speed at which we are able to process that part within the desired tolerance. Higher the speed at which you can manufacture, lower the cost of making that component. We could only manage 150 pcs/minute on our imported machines. At this speed, it was unviable for us. It would only make sense for us to continue if we were somehow able to manufacture this spring at a minimum of 200 pcs/minute. We were far apart and it seemed we wouldn’t be able to reach that goal. We were on the verge of giving up after two years of persistent effort in increasing our speed. Today, we manufactured that same spring on the CNC machines that we built in-house at a whopping 220 pcs/minute! We went from almost letting go off that customer to now asking that very same customer to increase our order volumes! First video is our imported machine at 150 pcs/minute. The second video is our in-house machine at 220 pcs/minute.

3 hours drive from us, war is still being fought. Today Palmyra was bombed and 68 people are dead. No one counts the animals. Because we are not under bombing in Idlib, people have stopped donating and we are facing a huge crisis in our funding. There is no improvement in the lives of the animals in Syria, and without funding we aren't able to help them anymore. We cannot send our mobile clinics out, because we have no funding. We cannot feed street animals because we can't afford to. We cannot send out rescue teams. We have lower donations now than we have ever had and our essential costs are the same now as they were before December 8th when the regime fell. Please, please will you reconsider reinstating your cancelled donations and giving us your support again? Without you we cannot help any of the ones who desperately need our aid. Soon we may need to reconsider our mission in Syria. We have always shared our good and bad news with you. Just now, our options are slowly disappearing.

I just saw why China is still 20 years ahead in manufacturing. Today, I walked through Midea's manufacturing campus in China. And no video or photo can prepare you for what you see in person. Factory after factory. Fully automated production lines. Entire buildings dedicated to R&D. Showrooms bigger than many manufacturing plants. The scale is almost impossible to comprehend. Midea manufactures millions of home appliances every year and supplies products to some of the world's biggest brands. I wasn't there as a tourist. I was there to explore how some of their products can be Indianised for our market. Interestingly, Midea is also expanding aggressively into India and looking for the right manufacturing and business partners. Walking through a facility like this doesn't make me think India can't compete. It reminds me how much capability we still need to build. The good news? India doesn't have to copy China. But we do have to match its obsession with manufacturing excellence, engineering and scale. The opportunity is massive. Now it's our turn to build.

I met a founder on X. Now we're business partners. We're manufacturing pocket fans for them. And this is the 5th product we are Indianising from X. We reverse-engineered the moulds and PCB in-house (only a few components are imported). Our goal is simple: reduce dependency on imports and build as much as possible in India. The pilot run started at just 50 units/day. We always start small to validate quality, performance, and uncover problems early - before scaling production. We'll gradually ramp up to 1,000 units/day.
