Ornith-1.0 35b is the best local model I've ever run that doesn't require 200GB+ of RAM Incredible at coding According to my tests it's both smarter and faster than Qwen 3.6 Plus it runs like a dream on a DGX Spark Here's how I'm using it: I have it running every hour and looping through different parts of my Henry Intelligent Machines codebase It looks for security vulnerabilities Any vulnerabilities it finds, it writes a report with the fix Then once a day another loop I have running in Codex reads the report with all the security bugs and verifies, then fixes I also have it once a day going through a reviewing all my open PRs Local models running on loops 24/7 is the future. I promise you What's becoming possible today with local models is truly mind blowing

We just launched Sites into Codex! Software creation was always about more than writing code. Sites in Codex fundamentally gives the power of end-to-end software creation to every user, no matter their technical fluency. These Sites are fully deployed to a URL, private to workspaces, come with authentication, can have static files, and can store dynamic data in databases. I invited Alexander Embiricos (ben davies), a member of the product staff responsible for Codex, to demo Codex and talk about it live on a special edition of AI & I: What Codex is and how it works Codex is designed to be used by senior engineers—it performs coding tasks like adding features or fixing bugs autonomously. It's built to allow you to start many sessions at once, so you can have multiple agents working in parallel. Codex is built to have "taste" OpenAI trained Codex to have the taste of a senior software engineer. It knows how big codebases work, how to write a good PR, and uses clean, minimal code. Why an “abundance mindset” is best for interacting with agents Codex is designed to allow users to delegate many tasks at once without getting caught up in the details. This lets you point an abundance of agents at a specific task like a difficult bug—it’s worth it even if only one of them succeeds. How OpenAI is thinking about agents Codex is one piece of a unified super-assistant OpenAI wants to eventually build—an agent that helps users easily get things done by selecting the right tools for them behind the scenes. Codex will automatically capture a screenshot, the DOM element, and feed it as precise context to your next chat. No more switching between browsers, dragging screenshots, and wrangling with underspecified prompts. It's great for front-end development of apps/pages, but also very useful if you have documentation pulled up on the side and just want to ask a question!

We're solving AI code comprehension, where the context window and the size of your codebase are no longer limitations, and reinventing the UX of how coding agents are currently implemented. We initially built this to address false positives and enhance accuracy for our SAST agent, which autonomously identifies security vulnerabilities, traces how a payload would flow through code, and ultimately demonstrates an actual exploit. The performance improved so significantly that we decided to test it on realistic engineering tasks on large codebases and witnessed SOTA results.
