The new GPTZero model now handles mix AI + human text, and highlights portions of text that are most likely to be AI generated, a key feature that educators in our community have been requesting.

We also built a pipeline to handle file batch uploads in PDF, Word, and .txt format so you can run multiple files through GPTZero at ease!

something else you might notice are the lightning fast processing speeds (esp. compared to our beta) thanks to our GPUs on AWS Lambda servers, which are pretty much just charging my credit card with each call!

Yesterday night after we migrated our site to soft launch GPTZeroX (prior to sharing / fully launching today) we received 39.7k visitors and 2.2 million requests to GPTZero in one day ...

especially proud and so grateful to work with our team of four engineers now, who made sure this happened with zero crashes / network delays (as opposed to when GPTZero immediately crashed after going viral, when I was working on it myself)

We also built out a Python API for organizations, that has been stress tested to handle high request volumes. Documentation here:

Overall, we're really excited to continue improving and building GPTZero, and I'm committed to keeping the website interface free for individual teachers and educators. Try it yourself at

You're a trash man. Why would you snitch on peers like that

This is riddled with false positives. I can't believe a whole text written by me without the help of an AI, was flagged as an AI generated content. This might cause more harm than good in the educational sector if many instructors start depending on this as their source of truth.

You are fighting change. Stop. Education has to evolve; we adopted the calculator, and rote memorisation stopped making sense since smartphones. Also, all I have to do is tell ChatGPT to rewrite the text so that it seems to be written by a human and AI detectors won't detect it.
