We keep hearing ⁦Ryan Walters Superintendent Parody⁩ touting Mississippi NAEP scores. Did you know Oklahoma consistently and significantly outperformed Mississippi in reading... until Oklahoma scores began dropping in 2016. What happened??

@RyanWaltersSupt 💯. I cannot understand why RW doesn’t want to model OK education after states with educational outcomes in the top 10. Most states do not look to Mississippi for achievement goals.

@RyanWaltersSupt I wish all Oklahomans would watch this. To fix this it's a long-term goal/plan that's needed a one time fix won't promote or entice the best and brightest to enter the profession.

@RyanWaltersSupt Teachers would stay with competitive merit pay based upon performance. Maybe we should test students at both the beginning and the end of the year. Pay teachers based upon how well they improved performance.
