How about cutting materials cost by opening Oregon's forest to logging? Address the REAL problem YOU CREATED!!! Same ignorant mentality as education, let's throw money at it, but NOT fix the intentional State constraints on ability for teachers to teach.

You create problems. You talk about problems. You never do anything about the problems, except come up with new ways to grift more money from the taxpayers. This could be solved with competent leadership. You are not that.

Supply and demand. Removing illegal aliens and eliminating free stuff given by the state will cause an exodus of the wrong people and a movement of the right people. This is super simple stuff apparently I learned in the 8th grade and you didn’t. Also the state doesn’t build homes. Private companies do if demand is high. They don’t because the laws and regulations here make private home building next to impossible. RESIGN

California has the nation’s highest housing costs. Some blame a housing shortage; others, government policies. We sit down with experts to explore what’s driving costs and discuss the state-mandated Housing Development initiative and why some cities push back.

She must be removed from office, investigated, prosecuted and made an example of. The level of corruption is astounding.

The real truth why @GovTinaKotek has pushed housing prices and shut down private forestry in Oregon: (and democrats try to say they aren't communist). As of the latest available data, Chinese interests own approximately 198,000 acres of land in Oregon. This figure is primarily associated with Chinese billionaire Tianqiao Chen, who, through his investment firm Shanda Asset Management, purchased nearly 200,000 acres of Oregon timberland in 2015 (under Democrats) for $85M. This acquisition makes him the second-largest foreign owner of U.S. land, according to The Land Report’s 2024 rankings. The land is mostly timberland, with about 33,000 acres located west of Bend near the Deschutes National Forest, known as Bull Springs Skyline Forest (CCP owned with Oregon Democrat permission). While Chen’s holdings are the most prominently documented case of Chinese ownership in Oregon, the exact total acreage owned by all Chinese interests in the state is less clear due to inconsistencies in reporting. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) tracks foreign ownership of agricultural land under the Agricultural Foreign Investment Disclosure Act (AFIDA), but Chen’s purchase was NOT reflected in USDA records until Oregon tax records revealed it in 2023. The USDA reported that, as of December 2022, Chinese firms and individuals owned 346,915 acres of U.S. land nationwide, with Oregon’s share (more than half the nation's total held by the CCP in Oregon)—largely Chen’s 198,000 acres—representing a significant portion. However, USDA data is considered a MINIMUM estimate due to potential underreporting and ambiguities in the law, meaning the total could be of unreported Chinese-owned parcels in Oregon. VOTE COMMUNISTS OUT OF OUR LEGISLATURE.
