This is one of India’s biggest problems right now. People claim to be modern and secular, yet even in 2026 we are still stuck debating caste and religion. Politics continues to divide people on the basis of caste instead of focusing on merit and development. Does caste really decide talent? Why can’t merit matter more in India? China didn’t grow rapidly because of caste divisions. They focused on productivity and capability. Saying things like “ChatGPT was built by upper class people” makes no sense. Technology doesn’t care about caste. Talent and skill matter, not identity. If India wants to grow faster, we must move beyond caste politics and focus on education, skills, and merit.
