"We literally declared our independence from a king, and Trump is marking that day by bragging that the kings of other countries told him America was dead." Will Saletan on Trump's un-American obsession with the approval of kings.

As we celebrate this 4th of July, we must remember why we celebrate. It was on this day that our nation declared independence from a mad king who abused his power and the people of this land. Just as the Declaration of Independence declared in 1776, these grievances remain just as relevant today. Because in America, there are no kings. #NoKings #OversightThrowback

Happy Election Day. I was at one of Trump's final rallies, and die-hard Trump supporters told me that they will not accept a Harris win as legitimate and that if Trump is declared the loser we can expect violence. Here's my report from Pennsylvania:

Trump on tariffs: "There will be very little flexibility once we start. April 2 is going to be a very big day for the United States of America. The United States of America is gonna take back a lot of what was stolen from it by other countries."

I lose followers every day due to my relationship with my King, who is King of all Kings. I'm perfectly fine with that. Grok literally told me I will be throttled as long as I am "too preachy". Well, I will sit alone & talk to Him if that is the case. .#JesusIsLord.🃏👑✝️

Donald Trump forgets that this country, our flag, and the White House do not belong solely to him. They belong to the American people. We have no thrones, no crowns, and no kings in the United States of America.

President Trump’s message has been simple and consistent from the beginning: To countries around the world — bring us your best offers, and President Trump will listen. Deals will only be made if they benefit American workers and address our Nation’s crippling trade deficits. America does not need other countries as much as other countries need us. President Trump knows this. He’s going to use the leverage of our market and our country to the advantage of the people he represents. On the other hand, countries like China who retaliate and try to double down on their mistreatment of America are making a gigantic mistake. President Trump has a spine of steel. America will not bend, and we will not break under his leadership. President Trump is guided by a firm belief that America must be able to produce essential goods for our own people and export them to the rest of the world.

"We are tired of the grift, of the dead American kids, and of being told that we can’t afford anything here but there are endless sums of money to bomb schools and hospitals on the other side of the world. Trump literally ran on that idea, before he became the exact thing he campaigned against. And the notion that we’re all gonna fall for it again is a fucking joke.”

🇮🇷 Sardar Shekarchi, senior spokesperson of the Iran’s armed forces: From the first day of the criminal American aggression and the child-killing Zionist regime, we declared that wherever the origin of aggression against our country is, that place will be our legitimate target, and we have done so. - We targeted all bases that were the origin of aggression against the Islamic Republic. - All our efforts were to avoid harming neighboring Muslim countries. - So far, we have not targeted countries that did not allow the US to use their airspace for aggression against our country. - The national sovereignty of countries is respected.

On the eve of America's 250th birthday, I was honored to visit the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library and have a conversation with his great-great-grandson Ted Roosevelt V on what this day means. 250 years ago, a group of imperfect people did something extraordinary. They declared that liberty belonged to the people, not a king, and that America's future would always be determined by its citizens. The American story is still being written. Every generation has had to defend, strengthen, and extend the American promise. The story of America isn't that we've always lived up to our ideals. It's that we've never stopped striving to. That's what makes this country exceptional. As we celebrate 250 years of independence, let's remember that patriotism isn't about pretending America is perfect. It's about believing America is worth fighting for, worth improving, and worth passing on stronger than we found it. Our most successful presidents understood that and kept their eyes focused on the prize: America.
