We loved animating young Noodle for this sequence! Nailing her performance was key. It’s really common for animators to film a real-life performance as a reference to capture the realism and mechanics required. We thought this was especially important when trying to depict Noodle as a young child. The...

stefan van de graaff, director of “one of us,” on casting kit connor in the lead role: “that's actually really kind of incredible story. so we knew that we wanted to cast around the lead actor, which, in this case, is kit. he plays a character named youngest. we wanted to cast around it first. […] we went to independent, which is the talent agency that kit is repped by in the uk, and originally, we had approached other actors. i had kit on my shortlist as people that i wanted in the film, but when i reviewed his work, i thought he might just be a little bit too young for the role. so we actually went and approached a few other actors first, and we had one booked, but he got really sick and—literally two weeks before we were filming—so we went back to independent and they said, ‘who else are you looking at? is there anybody else that we can put on?’ and i had, again, reviewed kit's work in the past, and i said, ‘talk to me about kit. i love him. i think he's a brilliant actor. i think he has just the right look. i think he's a little young.’ and his agent was just really effusive about saying he's the most mature person you'll ever meet. he carries himself as an adult. yes, he's, you know, i think he was 19 at the time. but that will not come through in his effort and his, you know, his capability. and so i had a phone call with kit, and it was very clear that he punched well above his weight in terms of his age. he's wise beyond his years and was extremely talented and thorough, and so, cast him, and that has ended up being a really, really incredible sequence of events because i absolutely loved working with him, and i don't think the film is the film without him. so it's been very fortunate.” 🔗:

Stratosphere was our biggest and heaviest character on #Transformers ROTB. He was a real challenge to deal with on the Modeling, Texturing, and Rendering side. He had 1434 UDIMs due to his immense scale and was made up of tens of thousands of objects. His level of detail was truly something else. His vehicle form was also a behemoth. We had also built a mortar for his robot form and a cannon for his vehicle form but neither of these made it into the film as his part in the final battle was cut out. He was originally supposed to help out in the final battle, using both of these weapons against the Sweepers and Predacons. The decision to cut him from the final act came very late as all of his assets were final at that point. We were never told the reason why his role was cut from the film. I had to re-design my texturing system in Mari when working on him to ensure that it could handle such a complex and large character. I had to simplify a lot of the procedural systems and even had to branch off some of them into their own files to ensure that artists could work with somewhat decent performance. We ran into a lot of issues pushing him through our pipeline, both as a model as well as rendering him due to the sheer amount of objects and textures that had to be processed. For shots, it was requested by Lighting that we reduce his memory footprint as Google had complained he was taking up too much memory and their I/O for rendering on the cloud was being affected. The leadership team and I decided that the best way to do this was to half the texel density on the parts that wouldn't be visible in our approved shots and to also half the resolution of the textures in the parts not visible to camera. This allowed us to optimize his memory footprint both in shots as well as storage and I/O. It was massive technical undertaking working on Stratosphere, so much so that we had to delay getting him into shots as we simply couldn't push him through with our normal tooling. I really enjoyed the challenge that he posed for us as a team. Mirage was the new human-buddy lead in #Transformers ROTB. The studio wanted a character other than Bumblebee to have that role and be in the spotlight with Optimus Prime. He was designed to look "handsome" and to be sporty. He was the only character in the film with more than 1 alternate form. He had a total of 4 that we built in 3D (1 of which was cut from the film) and 1 that was only in live action (the garbage truck). I served as the asset Lead and did the Primary Texturing & Look Development for him. I also modelled and designed his eyes, upgrading them from what we had originally in the concept and ref. We spent a lot of time getting his car paint to look correct in shots, matching closely to on set reference pictures of the Porsche. At the end of the film, Mirage gives up his life and becomes the Exo-suit for Noah. The suit was built separately, using the same tooling and systems as Mirage to ensure visual continuity between them for the transformation from Mirage to Noah Exo-suit. He was voice acted by Pete Davidson, a change which was made later in production. The animators tried to introduce some of Pete's mannerisms into Mirage's animations too. Overall he was a character which was a lot of fun to work on and I'm proud of the work the team did to get him to look the way he does in the final film. CREDITS Primary Modelling by Lilian Robert. Final Texturing & LookDev by Martin Kamminga. Various other artists supported the creation of Mirage and the Exo-suit. The Exo-suit and Mirage were sent to WetaFX for the final sequence. A man faces four felony charges-which include child abuse, child neglect, child endangerment, and strangulation—after allegedly pushing his stepson's head into a window, dragging him across the room, and placing him in a choke hold. ‼️BACKSTORY‼️ I spoke to my son about this, and he said I can release this video because no one has ever seen or heard his side of the story of being raised in a household with a stepfather who he felt hated him and abused him, without my knowledge. I didn't learn about No Name's physical abuse to my son until after the divorce. That's when my son told me everything. This was the day No Name ended our marriage and left, and began openly dating his mistress. His story was he left his family because he was unhappy. The truth was he was having an affair and used this situation as his catalyst to leave. This is the video that lead to his CPS case and criminal conviction where he faced 4 felony counts (child abuse, child neglect, child endangerment, and strangulation). Rhonda Forsberg saw this video and still have him joint custody, knowing he was a potential threat to children. He pled guilty to all these charges, was on probation, and served no time since this was his first offense. My daughter died in his care during his custodial time and now it's time for me to speak for my children (all of them) and tell everything we endured these last / years. This is why I'm tighting so hard for change, starting with the court system. I was quiet while my baby was alive to protect her, but now I have fight for her justice and the justice for my son as well. There's no more custody courts involved so now I can speak. This was Kyleigh in the background, she was only 10 years old. Her birthday was the next day. And Kali was the one running to come and get me.

Family of Young Man Shot and Killed by Extortionists Wants Justice The family of the young man who was gunned down with his friend wants justice. Litha Govuza and his friend, who cannot be named because he fears for his life, were shot while waiting for their orders in a foreign national's tuckshop on February 19. Unfortunately, Govuza was declared dead when he arrived at the hospital, while his friend survived after being shot twice in both legs. Govuza sustained five gunshot wounds and died on his way to the hospital. According to Apostle Tata Nxesi, the leader of Kingdom of God Ministries International in Driftsands, Mfuleni, Cape Town, where Govuza was a keyboard player, they want justice to prevail after Govuza was shot and killed in front of two young children. "On the Saturday (21 February 2026) evening, after we were preparing for the Sunday service with Litha, the survivor, and others, they decided to drop some people off at their homes. Later, they were meant to go join their study group and study Maths. While they were on their way to their study group, they decided to stop at the local shop and buy food and energy drinks. "While they were still waiting for their orders, the criminals emerged from nowhere and started shooting at them for no reason. We are very traumatized about what happened to Litha, who was a God-fearing young man. A young man who wanted to perfect his Maths and go and study at university next year. Now it is all a dream which he will never realize because they took his life away. Litha was shot in the head five times, and his friend was shot twice in both legs," he said. On Friday, a video emerged of a gunman from a Toyota Avanza, mumbling to himself and saying, "You think I'm playing?" He then shouted at one of the men to get his attention, but when he attempted to shoot him in the back, the gun jammed. One of the accomplices urged the gunman to shoot and stop talking. Both victims were shot in front of two young children who were inside the store. According to sources, the two boys were shot in a case of alleged mistaken identity. "There are groups who extort money from these foreign nationals. These boys who are in the video shooting at those two boys had come earlier to extort money, but the shop owner told them that there was a group that came earlier and took the money. The boys left and came back armed and found Litha and his friend at the shop. They then thought it was the other group that had collected money earlier," two well-placed sources said.

I modelled the head, face, and battle mask for Optimus Prime for #Transformers ROTB. I also designed his new "centurion" open battle mask look along with it's animation. The director wanted the face to resemble the face from the 2007 Transformers film as ROTB was a soft-prequel to it but also wanted it to be tweaked to fit the new design and for us to give it some new unique features. This is where we came up with the new mask design which doesn't get entirely hidden when open. Instead, it gets stored on the side of his cheeks, like a Roman centurions helmet. The head design is derived from his model from the 2018 Bumblebee film to keep some consistency with that film too as ROTB was also a soft-sequel to Bumblebee. There are new pieces, adjusted proportions, and reworks to detailing in ROTBs version. The face proportions are modified from the 2007 face to be a lot wider and beefier, matching his new head shape and look. I redesigned and built the eyes from scratch using our kitbash pieces like I did for all the Maximals and Mirage. The studio decided against going for the holographic eyes look from the 2018 Bumblebee film but rather wanted a more simple look in between the 2007 and the 2018 eyes. I added a lot of small mechanical details to his battle mask animation which we unfortunately never get to see in the film. For example, I designed a fully functional mechanism which pushes his chin piece back when his mask closes. This was very cool when it was visible, our Animation Director and VFX Supervisors were super excited about it, but unfortunately no shot showed it off in the final film. It was a lot of fun to help model and design Optimus Prime for this film. I'm happy I got to contribute to such an iconic character. The character we spent by far the longest creating for #Transformers ROTB was Air Razor. We spent over a year working on just her and her variants. The reason she took so long was because there was no unified vision for what she was supposed to look like. We had initial concepts but the leadership team from the studio wasn't happy with how she looked when we matched to them so we had to iterate and develop different styles until they were happy. Our asset supervisor did a mockup redesign of her head to look more like a golden eagle which they liked a lot, this is what the final head shape was decided to be. We opted to match her styling to a peregrine falcon as the animation director really liked the breakup and contrast that provided. She is the only hero character in the film without an alt mode. She only has her bird form. It was decided during the concepting stages of the film that she would not have a robot form. To make her talk, it was decided by the animation director early on that her beak would semi transform to enable some more expressive talking animations as opposed to her just opening and closing her beak. We spent a very long time on her feathers, in modelling, look development, and rigging, ensuring that we matched to the directors vision and that they looked good in shots. She had over 9 variants, each for a different part of the film. She had a battle mode, damage states, and a "virus" infected mode for when she was infected by Scourge. Each of these also had different variants, totalling the final 9 seen in the film. We added a lot of engraving details to her, each being in the official Maximal language, translated from English. For example, the engraving on her chest says "In the absence of light, darkness prevails" Air Razor was a big creative and technical challenge and a massive team effort to get right. We had plenty of sleepless nights while trying to figure her out. CREDITS: Video by Paramount, MPC, and WetaFX I was responsible for her primary texturing and look development and also served as the asset Lead alongside Tom Goodchild. Primary modeling by Simone Porchedda Final texturing & lookdev by Vipin Kabadi Primary rigging by Tom Goodchild Various other artists supported the modeling, texturing, and rigging of Air Razor, I unfortunately do not recall everyone's names - she was a big team effort.

Man, this one's gonna be a tough one. Losing a friend and our adopted Bosnian cuts deep. I met Paul in 2019. when we worked on a broadcast project together, unpacking forgotten war crimes in Sarajevo and Bijeljina. This is for you, Paul! | paullowe We lost more than a photographer when #PaulLowe passed away. We lost a witness to our history, a storyteller who showed the world the truths that many wished to ignore. His lens captured more than the horrors of war; it captured the resilience, the survival, the humanity of #Sarajevo at its darkest moment. Paul wasn’t just any outsider. He became one of us, a Bosnian in spirit, returning to live in Sarajevo with his Bosnian wife he met during war. He chose to make this city, scarred but beautiful, his home. In a way, his life mirrored his photography; an intimate connection to our brokenness, but yet utter fucking resilience. His work during the siege was not just about documenting violence. It was about remembering – reminding us that the shattered buildings and the jagged remains of barricades held stories, stories we should never forget. Paul understood that the “textures of destruction,” as he called them, were not just remnants of the past, but warnings and lessons for the future. He spent six months after the war capturing the ruins, not as mere structures, but as symbols of what had been lost and what we must fight to preserve – our history, our humanity. Through his eyes, even devastation carried a haunting, “terrifying beauty,” a strange aesthetic that was both painful and necessary to see. For those of us who knew him, Paul wasn’t just a great artist. He was a kind soul, a man who cared deeply for the people and the stories he photographed. He was someone who became one with his subject, whose empathy was as powerful as his talent. In losing Paul, we’ve lost a piece of Sarajevo’s heart. But through his images, his legacy lives on, forever reminding us of the importance of remembering. Thank you for your service, you amazing man. Rest in power! 🕊️

The BBC wrote an objective article (For Once) about Prince William and how he weathered this year to come back on top. Drawing similarities from 1992, his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II own "Annus Horribilis"; as there were multiple marriage breakdowns within the family and a major fire at Windsor🔥 Now 32 years later, Interestingly set in the backdrop of Windsor as well, Prince William faced his own Sombre Year full of turmoil and Health crisis for both his wife and father. The Article reads: "It was a year in which certain aspects of Prince William's approach were cemented: family came first, the school run was prioritised. For the Prince of Wales, this time of turbulence appears to have reinforced what matters to him most."🔥 Indeed you cannot describe Prince William without calling him a "Family Man"❤️ The article quotes a friend of the Prince commenting: "I think what was remarkable was just how hard it was for the Prince of Wales at the start of the year; His wife had gone in for major surgery and it became worse than expected. Then there was, 'How do I tell my three children that Mummy is ill?'" "At a time when he was trying to protect his wife and children, he had that terrible thought that that if his father dies then everything changes,"💔 "He was having to operate against the backdrop of the entire world questioning what was happening to his wife." Indeed in the end, when one face something as serious as a Cancer diagnosis with a young family, the last thing someone should face is public harrassment and pressure to take pictures and wave🤡 Yet as the BBC noted, William's maturity in dealing with such a stressful situation offered a great insight into "Prince William's way of doing things". The article states: "Yes, he understood that his was a life where duty and service are expected. But for him, a man who had experienced immense loss at a young age, his wife and children were most important of all." The Article continues: "There were two other important factors at home that helped the Prince of Wales support his wife and children: his in-laws, the Middletons and living in Windsor."🔥 Indeed, Windsor provided a privacy they could not have had if they still lived in KP, London while the steadfast support and loyalty of the Middletons, allowed them a circle of trust and support to operate within. A support that was later acknowledged by Prince Louis when he wrote on his christmas card: "Thank you to Grannie and Grandpa for playing games with me"❤️ Ultimately, as humans we all face, sooner or later, our own "annus Horribilis". For all of us, that period becomes a life-changing test that either breaks us or makes us stronger. This Crisis has definitely strengthened William and Catherine as Individuals and as a couple. It is when faced with adversity that we can truly measure what we are made of and who genuinely stands by our side🔥 Well and so, the lesson here is that Every "annus horribilis" may start as such but ultimately becomes a significant victory when we focus on getting ahead rather than on crying about the present challenges. Thus, those four videos represent the Year 2024 for the Wales and how they hang on and persevered to change their story from "Annus horribilis" to "Annus Victores"🥂☕️ #PrinceandPrincessofWales
