That'll be a very cool image if we're able to achieve it by the launching end of next year. That would be an epic picture to see Optimus walking around on the surface of Mars. Assuming the first missions are successful and they land successfully, we would send humans on the next mission and we'd really start building the infrastructure for Mars. Maybe just to be safe, we might just do two landing episodes with the Optimus and do the third one with humans, we'll see.” SpaceX Update, May 27, 2025
