In the video, ICE agents surround a man who is already on his knees on the pavement, with his hands raised, while agents stand over him and verify his citizenship. This alone is a serious constitutional violation. ICE does not have authority to detain U.S. citizens to check their immigration status. They also do not need someone on their knees to “verify” citizenship. And forcing someone into a compliance position on the ground without probable cause constitutes an unlawful detention under the Fourth Amendment. After agents confirm he is a U.S. citizen, the man stands up and begins yelling… visibly angry and shaken. The man is yelling at agents for swarming his car at gun point, a U.S. citizen, and forcing him out. Saying, “I could’ve died.” ICE agents then try to claim it was because of his registration. A line they often use, that still doesn’t justify their actions. What this video shows is federal agents detaining first, forcing compliance, then checking legality afterward… the opposite of how policing in a constitutional system is supposed to work. He hit him with such force he SEVERED HIS LEG and injured 5 other people near him. Tyzhaun did not stop. Did not call for help. Did not check on the children in his back seat. Did not check on the boy he had just k*lled. He instead FLED THE SCENE ON FOOT, leaving his children TRAPPED IN THE CAR!!!!! Eldar passed away right there on the pavement. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey rejected federal officials’ claims Wednesday that a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent acted in self-defense when he shot and killed a motorist. Frey said he saw video of the shooting and called ICE’s explanation “bulls**t.” Videos taken by bystanders that were posted to social media show an officer coming toward an SUV that was stopped across the middle of a snowy and icy road. As the officer attempted to open the driver’s side door, the car sped away in the general direction of a different officer who was standing in front of the SUV with his gun drawn. That officer, who was knocked backward but not hit, opened fire on the SUV. The car sped toward the curb, crashing into parked vehicles. “This was an agent recklessly using power that resulted in somebody dying, getting killed,” he said at a news conference. Tricia McLaughlin, the Department of Homeland Security’s assistant secretary for public affairs, said in a statement that a motorist “weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them” during ICE operations in Minneapolis. “An ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots,” McLaughlin said. “He used his training and saved his own life and that of his fellow officers.” Fray said local officials have “dreaded this moment” since ICE began deploying officers to the city as part of the Trump administration’s immigration crackdowns in American cities. Let's recall the ridiculous press conference the family of Karmelo Anthony held shortly after Karmelo murdered Austin Metcalf. The Anthonys present themselves as the victims of the Metcalf family. The father of Austin Metcalf, Jeff Metcalf, showed up at the Anthony Family press conference, which was a public event. He says his purpose for being there was to show support for the parents of Karmelo, to extend an olive branch of peace, to say he did not blame the parents. The Anthonys rejected his peace overture, and had Austin's father removed from the press conference by police. They showed zero compassion or empathy for Austin or the Metcalf family, and took zero responsibility for raising this monster who murdered Austin. They presented themselves as the victims. A follower of mine even saw him giving tarot card readings to young girls at the park! Just before his sentencing was delayed, he said this: “The only thing I really have to say is that we need to protect trans youth so that they don’t end up like me.” “And what the government here in Alberta is choosing to do to them now is going to make it worse.” Rule of thumb: Never take advice from a psychopath who tries to kill his own kids. What the government in Alberta did was ban puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries for children under 16 years of age. Which is not how constitutional rights work. The Fourth Amendment protects people from unreasonable searches and seizures. The U.S. citizen repeatedly asked… “Why am I being detained?” The agent first claimed he was “suspected of being illegal.” But, they didn’t have evidence to back that claim. And even after showing his U.S. PASSPORT, they refused to give him his keys back… When the U.S. citizen continued questioning why he was detained… the justification changed. Now, the agent claims he was supposedly “impeding an immigration investigation.” The man asked, “How did I impede?” The agent answered, “You pulled up right here.” That was the reason… He pulled over. The man asked, “Did I walk over there?” The agent said, “No.” “You walked to me.” The agent admitted to that. The man never left his car. He never blocked agents. He never interfered with an arrest. He pulled over… and the agent came to him. And note, the issue was never that agent told the U.S. citizen to leave… Then, after failing to justify an excuse for stealing this U.S. citizen’s keys, and threatening to arrest him if he didn’t prove his citizenship, the agent said he detained him because… “You are their boss and you hire illegal aliens.” So, the agent’s justification was not that this U.S. citizen committed a crime, it was that he was connected to people they were investigating. This is exactly why constitutional protections exist. Because if law enforcement can decide someone “looks suspicious,” demand proof of citizenship, seized their property, and threaten to arrest them until they comply with unlawful orders, those rights mean nothing. People have a right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures… regardless of their appearance, their ethnicity, or who they know.
