If you want people to work, you need to encourage and help them find work, not force them into destitution by removing their ability to afford to live.

It's as if @RachelReevesMP doesn't believe that mental health conditions are a disability, so she has decided to bring in 4 points to PIP assessment to disqualify people who are disabled by mental health and to deny that mental health conditions are disabling.

She STILL doesn’t seem to understand that PIP and DLA are not out of work benefits, they’re there to help people with disabilities in life, whether they work or not. She even said about it on this show

Dear @RachelReevesMP my wife is 30 years old from Thailand 🇹🇭 we have been married 6 years and have two children two girls who are 8 and 9 years old half British 🇬🇧 half Thai 🇹🇭 my wife can’t get a job because the @ukhomeoffice say it will take up to 12 months to make a decision on her second 2.5 year spouse family visa, last year she had a job with a £30.000 salary which she couldn’t continue when her first 2.5 year spouse family expired she spent some time back in Thailand 🇹🇭 to see family and re-entered this country at @HeathrowAirport legally, she received a fee waiver this time and was asked to supply all her documents in 10 days, in 2021 we paid £3600 plus £800 for priority service her visa was accepted in 5 days and she was sent a BRP ID 🪪 card, now she wants to work again she can’t she has two British 🇬🇧 children to support financially but can’t, surely this is somewhat wrong, the @ukhomeoffice should issue her a visa as a priority, then my wife will happily get a job…

A well known Disability advocate contacted the main Disability job boards and found the total number of jobs available for disabled people pales in comparison to the number of disabled people who may lose disability benefits on the assumption they can work even if they can't.

@RachelReevesMP It's not a matter of belief, it's a matter of evidence and facts. What do they say? You can't base your strategy on your beliefs e.g. believing you wouldn't win if you proposed increasing income tax

Its all about handing blank cheques to Zelensky and Netanyahu and robbing the UKs poorest to do it..... 😡😡😡

Totally agree - but @RachelReeves ( and her colleagues ) conflating this with her punitive cuts to Disability Benefits as they have been since they were enough is disingenuous , callous and amoral . They have shoehorned in the 1 in 8 figure EVERY time they've been questioned

so companies house shrunk, hundred of thousand business either not employing. cutting hours, cutting jobs or even closing completely. where exactly are these jobs or does she like kendal want them to join the army for the blackrock war in ukraine

She’s in denial about the after effects of Covid
