We must never forget that it was our security forces that secured peace in Northern Ireland. Thanks to them, we no longer have to live in the shadow of terrorism. The least that our Government can do is protect them from legal harassment, decades after their service.

We must go further. We must build modern defense forces – together. Only together, with you, with our allies. In Europe, we must produce all levels of air defense – against drones and all types of missiles, including ballistic. Our seas must be secure, and our forces in other seas must be protected from all threats. Europe not only has this potential – it also has a mission: to protect not only itself, but what it believes in. We believe in people, in their rights and freedom. We believe in culture. And we want nations to live in real peace, strong peace, and communities in respect. Together, Europe is a global force – one the world cannot do without, and that no one can stand against. On the day that marks the end of a month of sacrifice, it was fitting that we joined those who sacrifice to keep us safe at the COAS Sallah Luncheon for Troops in the Field of 2 Division Area of Responsibility in Igbeti, Olorunsogo LGA. As I said in my remarks, their welfare is our shared responsibility and we will continue to do all we can to support them to carry out their duties. May their sacrifices never be in vain and may Nigeria continue to find peace through their service to the nation.

According to this woman, we can no longer share our kindness, empathy, and compassion with MAGA folks. When they refuse to acknowledge that our way is the only way, we must cut them from of our lives. This is the most tolerant option.

Not all of our Muslim neighbors are violent. Not at all. The vast majority of Muslims that we meet will not be violent. We can befriend them and love them. We can share the gospel with them and see the image of God in them, just as much in them as it is in us and our children. At the same time, we must be completely clear-eyed about the contradiction between the American way of life and the ideology of political Islam. We must do that. I think we are obligated to do that.
