We must rebuild consensus on trans rights. There was a time (2017) when a Conservative PM committed to reforming the Gender Recognition Act and making the process of self certification better. These plans were dropped and it remains a protracted, complex and intrusive process.

Years of baseless fearmongering have broken this consensus, but Govt still has a legal duty to eliminate discrimination against trans people. My Motion, co-written with a trans constituent of mine, calls on Govt to perform this duty. Ask your MP to sign:

There has always been a consensus on ‘trans rights’ and that consensus remains. Indeed, it has become even stronger. It can be distilled into the following few basic points. 1. A woman is an adult female human. 2. A man is an adult male human. 3. The words ‘man’ and ‘woman’ are thus sex-based and are not ‘social identities’. 4. There is no such thing as an objective ’gender identity’. 5. A man, however he ‘identifies’, is male and thus is not a woman. 6. A woman, however she ‘identifies’, is female and thus not a man. 7. People can believe what they like but that doesn’t make those beliefs true. The above is what the vast majority of the UK public knows to be true. Only ideologues believe the opposite. You and your party stand for: placing rapists in the female prison estate; allowing men to get naked in changing rooms with non-consenting women, teenage girls and pre-pubescent girls; denying female rape survivors the ability to have support services provided exclusively by women; facilitating men cheating their way into women’s sport; promoting the anti-science notion that a child can be ‘born in the wrong body’ and that the ‘cure’ for this is the abusive concept of ‘gender affirming care’ which leaves children sterile, incapable of full sexual function, often surgically mutilated and permanently medicalised with a reduced life-expectancy; denying that homosexuality is ‘same-sex’ attraction and the rights of lesbians and gay men to associate freely in the absence of a member of the opposite sex. There is a consensus on all of these policy issues too. The vast majority of people do not agree with them.

NOBODY wants Self-ID. Read the room. Read the polls. And we're now able to debate the matter.

Too late. The demands of trans people, cannot overrule the rights of everyone. Transwomen are men. Transmen are women. They need to accept that

No. Men are not women. Ever

Always a transwoman. Yet you never stop to wonder why gender identity activists focus asymmetrically on getting males with trans identities (transwomen) into female services provisions & sports. This is androcentric inclusion. Benefitting males at the expense of all females.

People identifying as 'trans' have no more or fewer rights than anyone else in the UK since the Equality Act 2010. The Supreme Court recently clarified the meaning of male and female in law

They have the same rights as all of us. Their demands are not 'rights', and when their demands increase the risk to women, they should never be accommodated, period.
