Masooma Baloch, the daughter of Janzaib Baloch who was abducted on 3rd May 2016 says: “It has been eleven long years since my father has been suffering in a torture cell, and we, his family, have been suffering alongside him. 10th December is observed as International Human Rights Day, but for the Baloch, it is a Day of Mourning, because every one of our fundamental rights is violated. This reality shows how we are treated as slaves in our own land. To break free from this slavery, we must resist. We must step out of our homes, sit on the roads, and raise our voices against state brutality for our leaders, for our people, and for every abducted Baloch.” She appeals: “I call on every Baloch: become the voice of yourself and of every missing person. If you choose silence, you choose slavery and oppression. If you want to come out of this, then stand up and speak out.” #InternationalHumanRightsDay #StopBalochGenocide
