I have endo, adeno and PCOS and it blows my mind that it’s only a recent concept to study menstrual blood, in terms of diagnostics. I have pain constantly, not just at my period, but surely, testing/studying the lining of the uterus we shed every month, would have valuable info

100% EXAMPLE: The clitoral anatomy has only been RECENTLY STUDIED & mapped since 1993 w/research conducted by Helen O'Connel. She discovered that only 10% of it is external & that 90% of it is completely internal (which kinda resembles a penguin once it was fully mapped out)🤷🏽‍♂️

Researchers are unsure of why Bartholin cysts occur, how to treat them without surgery, how to keep them from reoccurring, and why once removed, the other will flare up. 🙄

Another “Fun Fact” is that the world’s first female sized/shaped crash test dummy wasn’t invented until LAST YEAR. Women are 73% more likely to be injured & 17% more likely to die in accidents, regardless of the driver.

I wonder how many of those were preventable🤔 how many were a direct result of a philandering partner🤔

All the studies that were done into "women's health" were just experiments slave masters did on female slaves, but nobody wants to talk about that

This is just a stupid anecdote. Almost every man in America has had a piece of their body removed and not even for a legitimate medical reason. We literally have our foreskin removed without consent basically right after birth for no good reason.

Literal baby boys have their prepuce removed, without consent, at birth. Try again.

Circumcision is so normalized that men don’t even think to raise their hands.

"Equal research" Would you like to take a guess on which gets more research money: breast cancer research or prostate cancer research? I think prostate cancer gets less than half. So yeah, we should get equal research and 2x what goes to men.

Ahh yes "cut off" that way a mastectomy counts. However, Uncle Ted's splenectomy, Cousin Steve's Nephrectomy, their dad's prostectomy, their brother's thyroidectomy, and their son's appendectomy involved cutting body parts out, rather then off, so they don't count. Well phrased.

Agreed... But also what? They dont know anyone who had their tonsils out or an appendectomy or their wisdom teeth removed?

It was proably a room for of OB/GYN docs. Men have testicles, colons, kidneys, other organs and limbs removed because of cancer, vascular disease, diabetes or injury all the time. The disparity is because many men do not walk around talking about it all the time. They internalize it and shove it down.

My fairly healthy Dad & Grandpa had more surgeries than the unhealthy women in our family. But they dealt with it & moved on so everyone kind of forgets. U know how many surgeries these men had just from fixing things around the house that accidentally went wrong w/out a helper?

This simply isn’t true, shocking tik tokers would lie for views and follows. This was basically covered in one of my bioethics classes back in college and the students were put in groups to argue both sides of any perceived gap in medical research.

This is why it’s so important in the medical community to recognize that male and female bodies are different! Autism in girls can be different, heart attacks, strokes, dementia, all have different symptoms. Women’s rights are human rights. We deserve fair human rights
