We need more movement. High skill ceiling movement mechanics are an extremely satisfying and artful skill expression in FPS games that's been looked down upon for too long by devs.

I feel like if Quake were revived properly the zoomers would love it

Agree

The Art of Flight is a homage to 80s/90s arcade action shmups with a fresh twist on the genre. Pilot multiple ships at the same time to take on oncoming waves of enemies in this fast paced space shooter. Wishlist on Steam today!

Extremely gratifying too. I remember my first time beating the strafe jump tutorial map and how long it took to figure it out.

these games struggle to maintain a casual playerbase which is essential for mainstream success -- definitely think theres room for smaller titles like this

People these days don't even realize how hard this actually was...

Wait for GunZ to come out again. It's a TPS, but still sick ;)

100%- I hope we get a new Quake that gets forced onto the gaming scene by some big marketing campaign from Microsoft. Although, any game adding more enjoyable movement that would be great. Quake just does it best, and has the most potential out of any game out there.

I'm having too much fun, I'd better patch this out ASAP.

High skill ceiling mechanics don't have mass appeal and therefore will make less money. It's the same reason why games like apex for example, always choose to support the much bigger casual scene.

I think the biggest issue with games like CPMA is pacing. It’s just full throttle the whole time and while that’s fun, most people need their highs and lows. Honest to god I think QC pacing is THE BEST, with QL second. Reflex did have good pacing despite having air control
