We need to move forward and finish Durham/Shepherd. We cannot leave millions in federal $ on the table and a half-finished project. At the heart of this is safety, drainage, and an economic driver for the community - a commitment to creating a safer, more resilient Houston.

Thank you so much for your continued efforts to move this much wanted project forward. Stopping it or changing it when it’s half way done is just absurd.

Thanks for this exchange! In his rebuttal the mayor said that 3 lanes is only a problem if the lanes are narrowed also. So let's take that compromise, increase each lane by 0.5ft to make them the same 11ft as currently exist and move forward.

Thank you for fighting for everyone who supports the project. I really don’t see what reason there is to pause this and I don’t think the mayor can keep making up/hiding the reasons to stop it.

No. The project needs to be reviewed so we don't make mistakes like 11th St.

Cause it’s a bad idea and leaving (borrowed) federal money on the table is the patriotic thing to do ..plus the city is broke
