And demonise people that only trying to get here to live a better life" "The biggest issue here is that we have had 14 years of a Conservative government that has basically failed to invest in the infrastructure" "The Tories let the infrastructure that the previous Labour government had built to the point where we had an incredible NHS.. Credible schools.. Etc.. And now every piece of our government has failed over the last 14 years" "We need to give this government a chance.. They've been in 11 weeks and we need to allow them to make the changes.. To turn this oil tanker around.. This is not the only vision for what it looks like to have politics in this country—that is so divorced from the needs and wants of everyday people. And what we are looking to show in New York City is an alternative to what has led so many to become disenchanted with the political process. We want to show that not only can government work, but it must, and that at its core, our responsibility is to working people—to ensure that we’re doing everything to make their lives easier. That has to be what drives our actions, and for too long, government has felt more like a distraction than a fulfillment of the needs of the people who’ve been left behind by the politics of today.

The executive governor of Katsina State, Dr Dikko Umaru Radda, Ph.D. CON. has today led security operatives to some banditry-infected areas in the state for an on-site assessment of the security situation in support of the current efforts by the security operatives to combat the insecurity menace in the state. This was shortly after presiding over the State’s Security Council Meeting today. Ya Allah make these efforts count and grant us peace and tranquility in our state, region and country at large.

The crisis in neighbouring countries has affected our borders hence we experience an influx of undocumented immigrants. To this end, we have heard the legitimate cries of our people against the various social and economic challenges associated with illegal immigration. However, we have always emphasised that vigilantism is a dangerous terrain, which creates anarchy and undermines the rule of law. Enforcement of the law is the responsibility of the democratic State. It cannot be outsourced to private groupings who want to take the law into their own hands, often driven by the desire of some individuals to hijack the genuine concerns of our people for political expediency.
