I think you got your maths wrong on the amount of co2 emitted per kilometre for ev’s. You seem to have assumed a one for one on charging to driving. In the real world it takes more energy to charge a battery than the battery gets about 120%. So for every kWh of power the ev has to use for driving it takes about 1.2 kWh from the grid to charge it.

I'll say the unsayable: Australians need guns for self defence. Australians are disarmed by law, for the protection of criminals, and it has to stop. Private security guards in the Western Suburbs are soon to get guns for their own protection, which is a good step in my view but they can only be in so many places at once. But there's ALWAYS two people at the scene of every violent crime... the perpetrator, and the victim. The most surefire way to stop the violent perpetrators is to arm their victims.
