I think you got your maths wrong on the amount of co2 emitted per kilometre for ev’s. You seem to have assumed a one for one on charging to driving. In the real world it takes more energy to charge a battery than the battery gets about 120%. So for every kWh of power the ev has to use for driving it takes about 1.2 kWh from the grid to charge it.
I wish they were dumb. They are worse than dumb, they are intelligent and doing it all on purpose. We need to put our Mike Benz cap on and follow the money.
