The only problem with the other side of the coin is this. If there is a video which is not an AI faked video capturing something of someone in power or a politician doing something that is illegal or immoral, the government would be able to very quickly force that video to be removed from the Internet completely.

Elliston Berry is a constituent of mine from Aledo, Texas. She was the victim of AI-deepfake nonconsensual images. For months, she fought to get the images removed from social media. This was unacceptable — it shouldn't take a phone call from a sitting Senator for this filth to get removed. She's the reason we introduced and passed the TAKE IT DOWN Act. My bipartisan bill passed in the Senate unanimously — it needs to be taken up in the House so it can be signed into law. We need to pass this important legislation so girls like Elliston don't have to live in fear.
