@jcdav Not everyone has a juicer like that. Show the difference in buying pre-cut pineapple vs buying it whole. That makes more sense.

STOP JUICING FRUIT! It causes a massive glucose and hence insulin spike because all the fiber has been removed and you are drinking pure sugar.

$2.99 pineapple = ~ 30 oz of juice. ~10 cents per oz. $3.69 for a 12.5 oz bottle. ~30 cents per oz. 20 cents an oz cheaper for DIY. $150 manual juicer. So you're basically 25-30 pineapples in before break even, not counting sweat equity. I prefer carrot juice though. :-(

No, we pay for convenience. I work 70 hour weeks. If I have a few moments of free time I want to spend them with my family, not trying to prove a point in the kitchen. I will happily pay a little more to avoid having more demand on my time.
