We ran this as an experiment to see if it would make it easier to create databases in Supabase Conversion dropped dramatically 😂 Still and awesome UI, would love to use it somewhere in the future

@supabase It doesn't surprise me that much. A user wants to create the database in a direct and easy way, and this design requires thinking and reading, what people don't really like. I would suggest moving a part of this awesome UI on the home page, during database creation.

@supabase Agree that could be worth an experiment too

Send important transactional emails with confidence knowing you'll reach customers' inboxes. Easy for devs to integrate with intuitive features that enable the rest of the team to collaborate. Try it out—no CC needed!

How many people create their schemas in-UI vs using the CLI tool (or otherwise pushing SQL into the db directly)? I could see how it would get in my way, cause I always use a migration tool programmatically. I imagine most devs are also using whatever migration tool comes with the ORM they are using. And if they are just using SupabaseJS rest calls, they’re probably using the CLI too migrate, right?

@supabase I also think migrations are the best tool, but it’s convenient to use a UI when you are playing around prototyping I don’t have the exact numbers but there are far fewer using migrations that should be. Something we hope to correct

@supabase This is cool, you guys should keep this somewhere id love to tinker with it

@supabase adding a bunch of distracting visuals and UI over the top of a critical (and for first users confusing) flow didn't actually help??

@supabase Woah cool Can I play with it!

@supabase That's actually amazing and seems highly useful - maybe the low conversion rate was due to the time spent processing the "Create project" request

@supabase Could be!

@supabase i think it is good non technical people, but your product mainly attracts technical people
