We really need to have a serious conversation about rhythm shooting and how damaging it is for the game.

there is no other option but to take it out but its also extremely unfair to push the idea of learning how to do it just for them to scrap it. so obviously they had to loosen the requirements especially since there is no boost/benefit to using it over X/square

So it’s either this or he makes Rhythm have a larger window. His interview with Joe he literally said it’s hard not to give an advantage because it’s much harder in skill to use it and he wasn’t wrong. Truthfully if he made it the same as X who’s stick shooting? No one.

Mike Wang already explained this. Green the Tempo of your jumper and you control how early or late you wanna release it.

In order to understand the rythm shooting, you need to forget what you know about button shooting. Even tho the bar works the same, what you’re timing is not. I’d argue button shooting is easier since you ONLY have to time the release. With rythm, you have to time a motion, from start to end without going too fast, too slow or start it too fast. If you start it too fast (holding it down before you catch the ball like you can do with button) the rythm is way harder to time. If you flick up too fast or too slow, you’re not greening. With button all you gotta do is time the release, that’s it. There’s a reason why all the top shooters in the game is button shooting, because it’s easier to time it consistently. Way easier. It’s also a lot less realistic. Think of it as you’re shooting a shot irl, you can’t just flick it without having a good stroke, but that’s what button shooting is. With rythm, you’re actually doing the stroke, you just don’t have to have a perfect flick every time no, but the flick (release) still have to be good for it to go in, otherwise you’ll get a red “rushed shot”.

I assume there’s more elements to making shots now more like in real life, I don’t need to do my full release and still hit certain shots consistently what if they’ve found a way to simulate this? meaning if I can consistently shoot on tempo for my jumper timing matters less

Yeah so damaging for all these guys who work a full time job to come home and be able to have fun on a game. You need to remember not everyone has the same internet speeds or controller as you. On top of 2ks shitty servers I was shooting 25% last year now I’m shooting 60%.

It’s just showing where your green window is at, which has nothing to do with if you green it or not. It just makes your tempo green window larger from what understand I may be wrong. But everything your displaying changes when challenger badge comes into play for a contest 🤷‍♀️
