It's not the job of drs to bear responsibility for the economic mismanagement of your govt and party. Their pay has fallen by more than a quarter in real terms. They're paid FAR below what their skills and education are worth in the market. Fix it now or step aside

You haven't agreed anything with the majority of workers. You screwed up the NHS, you fix it. It's not my job, or my colleagues, to prop up a failing system at the expense of our own health any longer. For too many years we have, and we are all burned out now and ill.

Steve, how come your pay has increased with inflation year on year at a time of considerable economic pressure?

If you want to prevent strike action then pay us what our predecessors were paid, it’s really that simple. Our job is not worth 26.1% less than previously. We know this and we expect you to acknowledge this with a fair offer.

Steve, you're talking as if you think that any union members of the AfC professions are going to accept your 'deal'. Read the room, Steve, read the room. Patients are coming to harm through short staffing every day & those of us that are left will not tolerate this any more.

But it’s ok for us to lose >26% of our wage relative to inflation, and still have to put up with the economic pressures that successive Tory governments have contributed to creating, and accept further below inflation rises (2% vs >10% inflation)? To put it lightly: sod off.

If you “recognise their work” then pay them what they are worth.

The biggest threat to patients is not the junior doctors strikes. It’s more Tory governance.
