Here’s a thread of some of the features of Mike McCarthy’s West Coast passing game. All clips are taken from the Pittsburgh/Dallas contest from 2024, where Dak Prescott threw for 336 yards in a 20-17 Cowboys win. 1. Horizontal stretches. You can see how Dallas spreads its receivers from one sideline to another to widen the defense, then attacks the seams this stretch creates. To make these designs effective, WRs will need to recognize open areas in zone coverage and sit down in them, and the QB will need to get the ball out accurately and on time.

From Leland Randleman “I saw this large shark swimming through the water at Seaside at 11:26 a.m. An officer came by and said the shark we filmed was at least 15 feet long. They have been following it up and down the beach.” Before you comment, we know “sharks live in the ocean” and “it is their home”. After multiple shark attacks there is heightened interest and I am simply passing along videos and photos without comment. One teenager from Mountain Brook is in critical condition; please consider holding off the snarky comments. Thank you.

Found another big clump of bees balled up from the swarm we grabbed. Pretty sure this one has the queen in it. Moved them over and gave them some sugar water since they seemed a bit low on energy. Hoping they move into the hive.

Too many people to thank in one tweet (will save that for tonight's podcast) but was absolutely awesome to be with everyone from our Badlands team and community in NYC last night. These events are always a bit overwhelming in all the good ways and it is nice to be reminded of how many great people we get to come across thanks to this team (even if they are bad) and this podcast....we're back to our draft coverage and we'll see you again in August!

🚨WHAT THE HELL?!!!!! A group of six "teens" SHOT FIREWORKS INTO A CROWD OF FAMILIES outside of DC at a "family friendly" movie night. They aimed the fireworks directly at CHILDREN!!!! BLANKETS WERE CAIGHT ON FIRE and the crowd, including small children began RUNNING FOR THEIR LIVES!!! One brave man stepped in, grabbed a firework before it exploded, and HURLED it away from children. Not a SINGLE ARREST has been made and police have not released any descriptions of the "teens" who did this... WE DO NOT HAVE TO KEEP LIVING THIS WAY!!!!!!

When we first started recording Prizefighter, Gracie Abrams and Aaron Dessner were working upstairs at Electric Lady. We’ve followed Gracie’s career from the beginning, right from when she started, and think she has turned into one of the world’s most interesting artists with the most amazingly lazer-like sensibilities, taste, and choices. She was there the day the record started and in turn became the fairy godmother of this record, just tapping songs with her magic wand. So when it came to it, we asked if she wanted to sing on anything, and she picked Badlands. We are so grateful as she turned it into more than we dreamt it could ever be.

While many around the league don’t expect any linebackers to be drafted tonight, if there is one, it certainly could be #TexasAM’s Edgerrin Cooper. Cooper is the most complete LB in the 2024 draft class. He’s shown to be: 1️⃣an elite athlete 2️⃣a consistent and impactful run defender 3️⃣a capable and efficient blitzer, and 4️⃣able to use his size and bend to disrupt in pass protection As a run defender, he finished with an 87.6 PFF grade, highest among any expected draft linebackers in this year’s draft class. That includes 15 TFLs or no gain plays. As you can see (🎥), his downhill force plus balance and control allows him to consistently win in the run game As a pass rusher, he had 7 sacks on the year, 4 of which came from playing on the line of scrimmage. When lined up on the line of scrimmage, he generated a pressure on over 30% of his pass rush snaps. Elite ‼️ And in coverage, he finished with a top-10 coverage grade int eh country last season (per PFF College) among LBs lined up in the box. He’s able to use his length and bend, along with developed vision and timing to disrupt plays from the box. Couple all of that with a 4.51 forty time and would-be impressive athletic testing numbers if he was 100% for the draft process (why he wasn’t able to officially go every day in practice at This Account Has Moved), and it’s hard to ignore his NFL starting potential.
