This morning, I joined BBC World’s Newsday to discuss President Tinubu’s Declaration of National Security Emergency. I stressed that dismantling the kidnap-for-ransom industry requires our armed forces to rethink their philosophy, adopt lighter and more agile equipment, and take the fight directly into the terrorists’ enclaves. Trust in our security agencies will only be restored when Nigerians begin to see tangible results on the ground.
