And already on this post you have people trying to blame ethnic minorities and trans women? We can't resolve this if we keep blaming minorities and don't start looking at issues within society in general.

@vicderbyshire And here’s the latest breaking news…. Devastating

@David_Challen I worked for Women’s Aid in the 90s- 00s and those figures were being used then. It appears we haven’t learned anything

Domestic abuse against women is a terrible crime and sadly too often leads to them being killed by their partners. This should be discussed in secondary schools so teenagers know that it's not the right way to behave and them told, help is available ie Police, Refuge #Newsnight

@maitlis Old news.. have you just caught up...in fact I believe it has increased to 3

Noble, loving mother there. I remember her being on the programme some time back. Solace be hers.

Shocking. Men fucking suck.

@JacquesRogues But jk Rowling says the only people a danger to women are trans!!!

@maitlis If this attitude continues every PC in the country will spend their careers dealing with DV . People report it , resolve the issues with their partners , refuse to support prosecution . Countless hours are wasted wiping bottoms whilst we all get robbed and burgled

And now men are being given access to women's refuges and spaces
