We should continue building cathedrals!

Catholicism is beautiful.

💯🙌🏼

We do😊😊

We do again😊

historical Cathedral

A few weeks ago in Barcelona, Spain 🇪🇸, celebrating Pope Leon XIV visit. It was a lot of fun. I love ❤️ Barcelona. You are so right. Thank you 😊

The best of mankind on exhibit right here!! 😍

Not when there's no effort to keep them from being burned to the ground by Muslims.

Is this Cologne ?

One of the most incredible architectural achievements ever

Jaaaaaa

At least clean them up!

Go ahead! You do it!

bold take for a century that can barely maintain its existing plumbing

Except they’re all Mormon temples or mega churches these days. Not the same.

Couldn't agree more! Cathedrals are timeless masterpieces that inspire faith, beauty, and community for generations to come. ⛪❤️

They would be decried as racist today and receive no funding.

There’s something about a cathedral that reminds us not everything worth building can be finished in a single lifetime. Stone by stone, generation by generation, people created beauty that still lifts hearts centuries later. ⛪️🙏🏻😊

No one would know how.

😍

Too expensive

Now, the cathedrals are all just mansions for the con men running the mega churches

bro you building with bricks or code

Well said!

Ausgebrannt?

Cathedrals are not the cure. They are a symptom of a healthy society.

Or clean that cathedral would look incredible.

As an atheist, I must say...and I often do...that religious beliefs have inspired people to make the most MAGNIFICENT and inspiring architecture and art! A beautiful impact of religions is that they often encourage people to try to create heaven🌟 on earth.🌍 🕌 🌴 ⛪️ 🌳 🕍 🌲

Jesus Christ.

Kölnin Dom

Architectural aesthetics have deteriorated massively over the last few centuries.. even in terms of practicality in some cases

to build something like this today it would cost hundreds of billions of dollars

Build libraries!!!! Instead of religious institutions. Build public recreational parks, with ludic spaces. We can pray anywhere.

No thank you…unless you mean soccer stadiums
