Agree with wanting it gone. But I’m not sure this particular incident is a VAR specific construct. The ref does nothing in order to allow VAR pore over it, but I think without VAR he takes the same action.

Refereeing standards are at their absolute nadir. Decisions and controversies would be so much worse without it. VAR is such a minor talking point in UCL/International Tournaments these days. The PL is just so much worse at using it
