Tom Hanks and a real Navy corpsman improvised the final scene — iconic. In Captain Phillips (2013), Tom Hanks' character, Captain Richard Phillips, is treated by real-life U.S. Navy Corpsman Danielle Albert She treated Hanks as she would treat a real patient.
