As @alicia_dun79487 tells us, her mum was an educated professional woman. Made vulnerable by concussion in a minor car accident. And despite her daughter Alicia and Christie's fight, & police and psychiatric involvement, Donna was given assisted death.

MPs are debating and voting on the final stage of a bill today which could legalise assisted dying in England and Wales. I am against this legislation - as I recently discussed on BBC Debate Night. This bill ignores vital safeguards on an individual case by case basis. How can there be an option of death without creating pressure to choose it? And how can there be such an option of death while still affirming each person’s value and humanity? Instead of assisted dying, the focus should be towards assisted living.
