@EricRWeinstein What was the insulator, because when flowing ac current through a wire it will create an electromegetic field even if its insulated

@EricRWeinstein His explanation only makes sense, if he meant a SHIELD around a wire that completely contains the field, because the EM-field extends beyond the insulation of a conductor and that's where the energy transport actually takes place (within dielectric + space in between + around).
