“We want that same respect that would be given to anybody else, and that's it. We just want answers." The parents of Nolan Wells, the 18-year-old student-athlete whose body was recovered on July 6 after a Fourth of July boating trip, called for a transparent investigation as they seek...

Why hire a lawyer whose sole purpose is to fan the flames of racism? Ben Crump is nothing but an opportunist who 'parachutes' into moments of local tragedy to boost his own national profile and secure media coverage. He is simply a bad lawyer.

Well, is an investigation happening or did the city and state just dump his body and say we aren’t doing anything? Sounds like they are investigating this with a fine tooth comb, possibly the greatest investigation of a possible drowning in history. What more can they do?

The boys kept telling her different stories so this is the only way she’ll get soemthing out of it . The boys all got lawyers before this family even did …. These aren’t malicious people . The sweetest actually and all they want is answers and no one is giving them

🚨 Nolan Wells was only 18 years old. A student-athlete. A son. A young man with a future ahead of him. He went out on a Fourth of July boat trip… and never came home. Now his parents are asking for one thing: Answers. Not rumors. Not silence. Not confusion. Answers. And honestly… what parent would not ask the same? If your child disappeared… if your child was found dead days later… if the story did not feel complete… would you not demand the truth too? This is why Nolan’s family deserves support. They deserve transparency. They deserve respect. They deserve a serious investigation that leaves no question ignored. Because grief is already heavy enough. Parents should not have to fight just to be heard. So the question is: What happened to Nolan Wells? Who saw him last? Why was he left behind? And will every detail be examined with the seriousness this family deserves? A young man is gone. A family is broken. And the least they deserve now… is the truth. “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” — Matthew 5:4

Why are theses clowns pretending to be victims of something? For insinuating that they are not being treated equally they should be ignored entirely. The justice system is almost entirely minority and liberal. These ungrateful POS’s are getting more help than a white person.

Why would a Black parent allow their child to hang around whites in 2026. . . I was always told to me they are not your friends especially when I look at these comments

You’re doing it because race hustler Ben Crumb is telling you to exploit your son’s death for profit.

@ladytide228 There is a heartbreaking irony in a grieving family having to explicitly demand 'the same respect given to anybody else.' It suggests they already fear their son is being treated as a checkbox rather than a person. But this raises a valid discussion point.

This victim porn culture that the news networks engage in for views and money is sick. You should be disgusted with yourselves. They lost their child not even a week ago and you trot them out on tv to exploit.

These people are pure garbage. They hired that POS for no other reason than to try and profit off of this shit. Vile humans.

I could not even imagine after a child’s death that I would be able to go on ABC news a week later. It just blows my mind

Honestly, that's all anyone really wants: basic respect and clarity. Hopefully, the investigation delivers something concrete soon.

Nolan actually seemed like a pretty good teen. I hope his parents are really after the truth and not a pay day. And they accept reality, no matter how hard it is.

To all you Karmelo Anthony supporters I believe Karmelo Anthony is guilty and murdered Austin metcalf and to all you Nolan Wells supporters I believe those white people killed him. This isn’t about race this is about justice.

Are you fucking serious ABC? How dare you! Where was the outrage when Iryna Zarutska, Austin Metcalf and Billy Schmidt were murdered? I cannot believe that you’ve succumbed to pedaling accidental drownings to float your network. You want a race war? Keep it up….

I hate to see parents being so polite about the death of their child. Stop with the respectability shit! There’s foul play involved with the death of your son!!! Where is the outrage??? Stop giving these people a license to dismiss you. Fight for Nolan!!! FIGHT FOR HIM!!!😢🤬

blacks kill Whites everyday and blacks don't care. It's so rare for a White person to kill a black they have to amplify and make things up about rare instances like this where nothing even happened. Who gives a fuck

A lot of people have drowned on horn island over the last decade and more. Mystery? Drinking and drowned. It can happen quickly when you are walking on the sand in the water and it gets deep. Also rip currents. While intoxicated is a fight

They found his body four days ago and haven't even had time to conduct an autopsy and this family is acting like the authorities are covering everything up. Is there any evidence that the authorities have been anything less than transparent so far? And why hire a race baiting attorney the very next day after the body was found? And let's be honest, if this was an island full of blacks and a white kid turned up dead it wouldn't even make the news, and for damn sure the parents wouldn't be invited on GMA to demand answers. It was more than likely a simple accident and the media is treating this like a full on civil rights incident.

Black people get special treatment and are pandered to in these situations. Especially when the media and many others are pushing a false narrative of white racism / black victimization.

Still not hearing any evidence of anything other than a drowning. They have bot official and independent autopsy and medical reports.
