They did this to get people to take the vaccine. This is precisely why so many people were saying "don't be selfish, take the vaccine for the people you care about." Before and after this three month period, Fauci consistently said that the vaccine does not and would not prevent infection or transmission. For some reason, half the country does not care that they were consistently lied to by Fauci.
