During our next stop, we arrested two illegal foreign nationals who were found working inside a spaza shop in Enkangala. They were unable to produce immigration documentation. Eskom disconnected the electricity supply at spaza shop, which was then closed for non-compliance. In addition, law enforcement confiscated suspected counterfeit medication found inside the premises. That club and many other businesses here have been served with eviction notices by the City of Tshwane. These businesses don’t have valid permits and many are none complaint. Our first stop was the inspection of a privately owned building zoned for residential purposes. Instead we found over 10 salons operating inside the property. In addition,the building is dilapidated and isn’t fit for occupancy. We will be condemning this property. City of Tshwane

We will not tolerate the idea of ‘no go areas’ in Tshwane. We were in Laudium this afternoon where a shooting incident occurred. While we’ve established the facts about the shooting incident not being targeted at Tshwane’s health inspectors, we are concerned about incidents of violence. We want residents and businesses to feel safe in Tshwane. We were joined by TMPD and local councillors. The butchery that sparked the shooting incident has been prohibited from operating.
