Someone needs to stop this idiot from linking Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s corruption to the campaign targeting Somalis in Minneapolis. This man is so unhinged that he literally wrote a thank-you message to Trump for targeting Somalis as an entire community in Minnesota. There is not a single piece of evidence that the group involved in the Minnesota fraud case had any connection to the Somali government. These were ordinary individuals, and part of the money was used to purchase assets inside the United States and abroad in places such as Kenya. The U.S. government even recovered part of these funds in cooperation with the Kenyan government. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud does not need money stolen from the U.S. government. He already profits from looting public lands in Somalia, benefiting from projects run by international organizations in the country, auctioning off a large number of Somali embassy properties abroad, and signing exploitative oil and resource contracts that are harmful to Somalia but personally profitable for him. Dr. Abib himself was one of the people who voted to install the current Somali president, widely seen as one of the most corrupt leaders Somalia has ever had, if not one of the most corrupt in Africa. Many Somali parents had endured numerous sleepless nights, burdened by unfounded reports concerning their children, propagated by certain Somali leaders. The immense relief felt by these parents upon the safe return of their children cannot be overstated. Simultaneously, we must recognize the significant responsibility these young soldiers now carry. President Isaias Afwerki, in conjunction with his committed government Yemane G. Meskel 🇪🇷 and the steadfast people of Eritrea, has granted us an exceptional favor. Since Somalia's collapse in 1991, no administration has showcased the capability or the inclination to train troops of such scale and across varied divisions.
