It was an honour to stand at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and to witness the Last Post at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. From Europe, we remember with gratitude the sacrifice and courage of the many Australians who stood beside us in the long and fragile pursuit of peace and freedom. “They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them.”

🚨 NOW: President Trump just dropped this statement on the 3-year anniversary of the Hamas terrorist attack against innocent civilians in Israel 🙏🏻 "Three years ago today, on October 7th, the World witnessed one of the darkest and most evil days in the history of Israel. Innocent men, women, and children were murdered, kidnapped, and subjected to unimaginable horrors at the hands of Hamas TERRORISTS. Today, we remember every innocent life taken, honor the survivors and their families, and remember the hostages who endured the unthinkable. I fought relentlessly to bring the hostages home, and reunite them with their loved ones, and I did, both the living and the dead! We will NEVER forget October 7th. We will NEVER forget the victims. And we will always stand against the forces of Terror and Evil. President DONALD J. TRUMP" ANYONE who sides with Hamas and their Palestinian sympathizers is not compatible with America. Just look what they did to those innocent civilians.

As we prepare to celebrate Ukraine’s Independence Day, we raise the Ukrainian flag in Brussels. So it can fly proudly at the heart of our Union, where it belongs. Ukraine will reclaim its security. Its freedom. And it will take its rightful place in our Union.

At the Museum of Occupations and Freedom Fighters in Vilnius, paying tribute to those who refused to bow to oppression. Today we honour their courage with more than memory. We honour it with action, by defending the freedom and democracy they gave their lives to protect.

Love for humanity is the core of love for life. It arises from the recognition of life’s value and beauty, from faith in humanity’s ability for greatness, and from the awareness that you are its child — and that it is dear and close to you. : The author places love for humanity at the heart of love for life itself. It springs from a clear recognition of life’s immense value and beauty, from an unwavering faith in humanity’s capacity for greatness, and from the intimate awareness that each person is humanity’s own child, bound to it by blood, spirit, and destiny. This love is not distant admiration. It is the quiet, fierce tenderness a child feels for the parent who gave it existence. Humanity is dear and close because it is the living source from which we draw breath, meaning, and possibility. To love life is to love the collective that carries it forward. To doubt humanity is to doubt life’s own worth. When we see ourselves as its children, gratitude replaces judgment. Hope replaces despair. Love for humanity becomes the deepest form of self-love, because we are not separate from it. It is the recognition that every stranger carries a piece of the same miracle we carry in ourselves. That recognition turns strangers into kin, and the world into home.

It was not until 1947 that the Soviet Union truly began rebuilding its cities after the war. Stalin then ordered a group of German POWs to clear the debris and start rebuilding Stalingrad. The city was in complete ruins, and it took the Germans a couple of years to clean it up.

Power to the people who shut down the streets of downtown Ottawa, making it clear that despite our leadership's selective humanity and glaring double standards, we will show up and make our voices heard. We are not free until we are ALL free.

France’s support holds special significance for Ukraine, and I am grateful to President Emmanuel Macron and his team for their attention to our people and their willingness to help. Our engagement today was substantive and important – above all, focused on the steps that bring a just peace closer. Now actions are needed that will truly change the course of the war and lead it to a just peace, to a real end – the kind we need. And it is important that all partners who can genuinely help do so. We deeply value the strength of our relations and France’s leadership. Together, we continue moving forward for the sake of security – for Ukraine and for Europe. 🇺🇦🇫🇷
