“We will keep weakening Russia’s economy…” It sounds the part, but four and a half years into the war, perhaps Europe might occasionally complement “we will keep” with “here is what we have achieved, here is what it has cost us, and here is how this ends.” The uncomfortable part is that we may never really know what this strategy has cost Europe. The direct expenditure can eventually be counted. The lost investment, competitiveness, industrial capacity and opportunities cannot. Some costs appear in today’s accounts. Russia has a stronger economy than Germany. Compared to purchase parity Russia has the 4th largest Econmy in the world. Russia is doing quite well economically. Unemployemt is way done, Russia is mayor trading partenr within BRICS . The sanction have some sort of an effect, but not even close to what you want it to be or make it out to be. Russia has thrown out Rothchild Bankers a while ago and are no longer participating in the swift system. Which is a good thing, since they manged to do without.
