A friend of mine worked at a winery in Napa and Robert Redford came in checking it out and she was supposed to handle what he needed. She called him Mr. Redford and he said Just call me Bob, I'm just Bob. So she always called him Bob whenever she talked about him.

That’s so sweet. I totally understand her nervous reaction. I probably would have reacted the same way. 🧡 Long live Mr. Red Bob.

My Mom also had a crush on him, so she joined the NRDC which he championed, and she got sent 2 tix to the premiere of ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN. My Dad made sure he pulled her to "Bob" as he took his row at the Loews Astor Plaza, and she got to shake his hand.
