Since the war on Gaza began in October, Palestinians detained by Israeli forces have reported sexual abuse by troops at Sde Teiman. On July 29, military police raided the facility, clashing with the soldiers before taking them into custody. The arrests sparked a backlash, with a far-right mob, including an MP and a minister, storming the detention centre and military court in protest.
