We cannot let radicals like Steven Guilbeault tell Alberta’s story. We need to defend our province. Alberta is one of the world’s most responsible producers of oil and gas. Emissions in methane, electricity generation, and per barrel emissions intensity in oil and gas are all in decline, without dangerous production caps or costly carbon taxes. That’s why we are at COP 29. As global demand for safe, affordable, reliable and secure energy continues to rise, Alberta is ready to answer that call, and be that responsible producer of choice.

One of my jobs as Premier is to prove Alberta can be strong and prosperous within Canada. We’ve spent months negotiating with the federal government and have come to an agreement that includes the cancellation of the oil and gas production cap, and the net-zero power regs in Alberta. My hope is that as we work to implement this agreement, and advance a new million barrel per day oil pipeline to Asian markets, Albertans will see a bright future as a strong and sovereign province within a united Canada.

We all know if we see a child on the highway we don't think straight and want to stop and get them to safety, but this is being used to lure us into a trap. My office has heard from hundreds of residents with concerns about the snow and ice buildup and removal. We are continuing to elevate your concerns to DPW and we are working to get crews and plows to your streets as soon as possible. I know this is frustrating and we thank you for your patience — DPW will get to everyone, but it is taking longer than usual due to the freezing temperatures icing the snow. Reminder: Please call 311 with requests if your street needs to be plowed. Let’s look out for each other and please shovel your sidewalk to help make sure there is room for people to walk and for neighbors who use wheelchairs to get through.

This is the worst time of year for it, the lambs still have small enough heads to push through and their horns are quite springy. Anyway, if you do see one, please do something about it. Thank you
