As a med student , my daughter had gone to Cuba to study their medical system that provides medical to all free of cost. However, she told me that no one in Cuba sleeps under the sky. Everyone gets accommodation, food when unemployed, clothes from the govt , however, the standard of living of a doctor is not much different from a life style of a laborer. If you ask a political question to a Cuban, they will never answer to you because of fear. You will see antique cars on the road , painted in different colors as no new cars are sold in the market. They all have become great mechanics. They keep repairing their cars to keep them functional. Interesting but very depressing at the same time.
