Weather in #Gaza is eroding hard-won humanitarian gains secured despite ongoing impediments. Over the past week, aid partners distributed more than 1,300 tents, 7,000 tarpaulins, and thousands of mattresses, blankets, and warm clothes. But so much more is still needed.

200 trucks entered Gaza earlier today, as coordinated by COGAT, 42 of which were loaded with shelter equipment. As part of this aid, some 3,600 tons of tents, blankets and mattresses have been transferred to Gaza ahead of the winter. Over 2,000 trucks have entered Gaza since the start of the war, transferring water, food and medical equipment.

Humanitarian efforts over the past week (4-10 Jan): 🚛4,200 humanitarian aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip, according to the agreement. The trucks carried food, medical supplies and shelter equipment, based on the prioritization by the international organizations. 🏨Dozens of Gazans in need of medical care and their escorts exited Gaza (Jan. 5) through the Kerem Shalom Crossing and continued to the Allenby Bridge Crossing into Jordan. ⚙️2 rotation coordinations of humanitarian personnel by registered and approved organizations have been successfully completed. ⛺️Continued entry of tents and clothing as well as winterization efforts, in accordance with the plan formulated with partners at the CMCC. This is so obscene. Aid should reach people where they are, not by forcing thousands of people to singular distributions points. It should be distributed based on need, not first come first served. Gaza is truly the graveyard of the humanitarian system

Just in: The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation distributed a record 1.66 million meals in Gaza today. The aid arrived on 30 trucks and included 28,800 food boxes. In total, GHF has distributed 51,840 boxes so far, amounting to approximately 3.8 million meals.
