For those that don’t know @p0 isn’t just the semantic search that you’d expect. It’s “objective + queries” the key distinction being the objective. In my experience, both in using this as an assistive tool as well as embedded in solutions, I’ve had better outcomes from parallel than other providers.

In Waffy, I implemented web search without adding any provider. It uses AI overview under the hood, so now we can do unlimited web searches (for free).

I may have a solution for web search that doesn’t require a provider at all from my time working on Openmobo. I’ll post up a proof of concept that is compatible with opencode this weekend. Thanks for making opencode!

Bro you need to support provider hosted web search! Nearly every LLM provider has native web_search remote tools, especially OpenAI and Anthropic, and OpenCode still does not support them! (esp useful with subs)
