Today marks the 27th anniversary of FF8. After the massive success of FF7, gamers everywhere were eagerly waiting for what would come next—and that was FF8. Did you know? Before its official release, a FF8 demo was included with Brave Fencer Musashi. I still remember watching the opening for the first time. The moment the CGI started playing, I literally got chills. It was unforgettable. When it finally launched, its popularity was just as incredible as FF7’s. The Junction system was a bit complicated at first, but there’s no denying it’s a true masterpiece. And that ending… “Eyes On Me.” It was the perfect emotional finale that sealed the experience. The FF8 package shown in the video is the PC version released by Samsung in Korea. I’m curious if it was released in a similar way in other countries as well.

🎥| “I'm not going to lie, I'm... I'm through the hardest part now, because fucking hell, I was a bag of nerves, honestly. We're here now, we're here now, right. Right, I've got a few things I want to say, maybe I'll sit down, feels like one of them chats, don't it? Obviously, on a day like today, you know, I... I've been reflecting, I've been thinking about my whole career. This is an important night for me, it's an important night for us as a collective, you know. I can remember distinctly, the year before I got put in the band, I actually also auditioned on The X Factor, right, and I remember distinctly... I was 17, I remember distinctly coming back and I... I got a 'no', I wasn't going to get through, and I remember being in the car with my mom, we stopped off, grabbed a Subway, that was lovely, and I'm just bawling my eyes out, being like, 'I fucking really want this, I really, really want this.' And you know, at that age, it's... it's kind of difficult to deal with that kind of shit, definitely. So, but... but luckily, you know, I had a... a good, good support and good advice around me, and I... and I went again, and then luckily, I got put in the band. And I fucking cherished every single year we had in the band, that was incredible. And you know, then there was a time where that wasn't a thing anymore, whatever we called it, fucking hiatus, or whatever. And... so I was kind of at that same place again, I was like, 'I really fucking want this, I don't want to let this go, you know, I fucking love doing what I do.' But I couldn't, I couldn't really, maybe to my own detriment, I couldn't really see the finish line like that, or even see the light at the end of the tunnel like that, I was... I was kind of worried, I was kind of worried that that might be the end for me. And I want you guys to know, you know, I say a version of this every night, this is a longer form of it, but... I simply would not have the fucking confidence to get up and play a place like Madison Square Garden. In the last four years, I have reported on no fewer than 300 cases of s*xual abuse occurring within Texas public schools. This is only a drop in the bucket compared to the thousands of cases of children abused by school staff over decades. Some of these cases were mentioned in this Senate hearing, including one where a four-year-old child was sod0mized by school staff. Very few of the cases I have reported on ended with positive outcomes. Schools were emboldened to sweep many of these cases under the rug, turning off comments to prevent people from voicing their opinions, shutting down parents, silencing them, holding secret board meetings, and making covert decisions. Some schools were even caught in the act of erasing/hiding evidence, deleting footage and shredding documents. Many of the offenders were either kept on paid leave and allowed to return, or were passed from district to district with no accountability. Why? Because they are protected by immunity laws in the state of Texas. Some of this testimony is incredibly difficult to hear, but we owe it to these parents to ensure their voices are heard after being silenced by the very schools meant to protect their children. Thankfully, HB 4624, which will remove this immunity to hold public schools liable for these egregious cases, passed committee 11-0. The next step is to have this bill placed on the Senate intent calendar. Sadly, If it is not heard by the end of the day on Wednesday, it will be over. These parents deserve better. As a survivor myself and a parent of a child who has suffered this form of abuse, my heart breaks for them all. Please call your Texas Senator and urge them to support this bill and push to have it placed on the calendar. I ask that you like, share, and spread these testimonies. The more exposure, the more pressure we place on the Texas Senate. We all know this legislature has been disappointing for many so far. Let’s ensure something good comes out of this!

Denzel Washington’s epic monologue towards the end of Training Day was largely improvised on set. Director Antoine Fuqua was so blown away by his performance, he says he thinks he "forgot to yell cut”. He explains… “That’s Denzel. He was just in his zone. I mean, that was one of those moment...people talk about AI. Those are the moments where you go...it's a great tool. It's gonna be a great tool, I think...but the emotion, and the moment that an actor can bring - you can't predict that. That's something that's just inside of Denzel. And when that came out, I was just like - I hope I got it. I just turned to my operator - who was shaking- I looked over at the guy - I was like, “please tell me you got that.” Because that was the take. That was it. There was no other take - I mean, how do you tell an actor like that, that that wasn't good enough? …He walked over to me, and he just had this look in his eyes. I was like, “you good?” He said, “you good?” I said, “Yeah…” Some of that was in the script, but he flipped it the way he did it. "Putting cases on all you." He kind of added some things in there. And then he just went into a whole other zone with the whole King Kong thing- with Pelican Bay - Denzel started that. That was Denzel. That was him, man. He just kind of lit up, and I think I forgot to yell cut. I was just watching it, because everybody started walking away, and I'm just watching him, and then he lights a cigarette - and he's talking - and I'm just watching him. I think at some point he probably looked at me like, you going to cut? And I'm like, “oh yeah, yeah, cut.” He was still in it. That's the thing with Denzel. KITSUNE 🦊 💫 When I embarked on this project a month ago, I didn’t expect it to consume holidays, evenings, and far too many nights—but here we are. From the first scenes, I knew I had something special, and I don’t want audiences to watch an “AI film”—I just want them to watch a film, and hopefully, a good one at that. ( Sound On 🔈) 👇 KITSUNE is a tale of love between two souls separated by everything except their shared feelings of loneliness. I grew up in front of beautiful cartoons, from timeless treasures like those of Don Bluth, which I watched again and again to the point of damaging my VHS tapes, to early 90s anime, and later, of course, plenty of Studio Ghibli. And yes, before you ask—I know Hayao Miyazaki would disapprove of this film 100%, but then again… I’m not (only?) seeking approval. I’ve had goosebumps many times while reviewing the evolving states of this film, and I hope at least some of you will feel the same. Another famous director (Guillermo del Toro , I see you) recently said AI could create “semi-compelling screensavers,” and I see this as a step toward proving him wrong. Because you’ll ask: under the hood, there’s been tons of writing, re-writing, and switching directions mid-way. All shots were generated with Google’s text-to-video hashtag#VEO2. I faced countless challenges and hoops to bring my vision to life, finding ways to prompt and structure within the limitations of text-to-video despite VEO’s excellent prompt adherence. So, is VEO magic? No, not really—and the 1,700+ curated sequences on my hard drive (out of an estimated 5,000–7,000 total generations) are proof of that. What impressed me most was the global consistency, adherence, and how I could achieve tweaks by simply adjusting a few words. But what mattered most to me was creating something warm, nostalgic, and full of heart, avoiding the cold, clinical feel of so many films leveraging AI. Also, I’m a 40-year-old kid who grew up in front of the TV, has been creative his entire life, and has been designing professionally for nearly two decades. The more time passes, the more I know I can relate to what Nick Rubin said in that now-famous interview, where he mentions having no technical knowledge but trusting and building his own taste. If you like this film, this isn't just "Oh, AI is magic." You need to steer the damn ship. Then there’s MMAudio for sound effects, regular good old stock sound libraries, music on Udio for this version (yes, there’s a second version—more on that later), and tons and tons (and tons!) of editing, sound design, and small post-processing touches. Is this exposing risks for animators? Perhaps. Or it could also be their greatest companion, because once again, this is the worst it will ever be, yada yada yada.... No, it isn’t perfect, and if you look close enough, you’ll find defects and variations, but this is a film I’m proud of, not just an AI one... Enjoy. Wanna see a clean uncompressed version?

Me: What the Trump administration is doing by this trolling—by this contempt for standards of evidence, truth, sound argument—is what many dictators have done. Namely, not so much lie, because people can see through lies. But just as Steve Bannon put it, flood the zone with—we're on the radio—so, flood the zone with feces; he didn’t use the word feces. That is, spread so much nonsense, some things that are true, some things that are false, that people just feel there’s no way to tell the difference, and so they just accept what the powerful leader says. That is, you undermine the feeling that there’s any basis to distinguish truth from falsehood. Meaning, well, then what are you going to believe? Well, believe what the leader says. Adam Boulton: And that is, you know, making common knowledge toxic to a certain extent, isn’t it? Me: Yes, it’s spreading the common belief that works in the interests of the powerful leader, the sovereign, the dictator, the chief, at the expense of the democratic principle that the government serves the interests of the people. Adam Boulton: It also seems to me that because America is so dominant and so large, that it is something that is spreading out into political discourse in other countries. You know, people talk about being like Trump, or Trump’s got a point, or things like that. Do you see that coming here? Me: Yeah, I think that is a danger. I mean, I think there were hints of that during the administration of Boris Johnson, who has been called Trump with a thesaurus. But there was some of that trolling, some of that not being quite serious—you never knew whether he was joshing or not—which is less benign than it might seem. It’s not just that he has a sense of humor, but by just fuzzing the border between truth and exaggeration and trolling, it meant that you’re in a position where you may as well believe what the leader says, because the whole atmosphere of knowing has been so polluted that there’s no way of determining what’s true or false. Adam Boulton: It also seems to me—I don’t know if you’d agree—that there’s a tremendous amount of gaslighting, that the fault which Trump or the administration is manifesting, they then accuse their opponents of having. You know, it’s not me, it’s you. Me: Exactly, that kind of naked partisanship: I’m right, people who disagree with me are bad, whatever it is that they say, and I never make a mistake, anything I say is true, is another tactic of control. And indeed, gaslighting—which is like the emperor’s new clothes, the elephant in the room—where people know something privately, but they are punished for saying it publicly, with the result that you can be in a situation where everyone knows something, mistakenly thinks that no one else knows it, whereas everyone really does know it. Good day Pastor Poju , i hope this testimony blesses someone out there and be encouraged to follow the leading of the holyspirit. I live and work in the uk, on June 7th i was accused wrongly at work that led into a police case, i was worried , embarrassed and devastated. I was asked to stop working till the case was resolved . I cried , prayed ( even when i didn’t know the words to say i kept praying, and cried some more) after the last two teachings on speaking in tongues i decided not to use my words anymore and begin to speak in tongues more often on this matter . On monday the 24th of June i got a call from the detective in charge of the case and he asked me to come over on thursday to say my side of the story , i was so worried but something happened on Wednesday( the day before i went to the station) , i was listening to a song titled “After all these years by Todd Galberth” and i had this strong urge in my spirit to begin to speak in tongues all i remember was my head swelling so much and hot tears falling and i continued to press in so deep in tongues ( i have never experienced something this surreal before) . This experience lasted for just 5mins and it felt like 5hrs . Immediately the swelling in my head stopped i knew i had gotten it. On Thursday after i got to the police station, the detective asked me to say my side of the story, i did and after all this he said to Me and my legal representative, in his words “i wasn’t supposed to do this until i have informed the other party involved but i would like to let you know that i would be backing out of the case and have the case closed “ , “please go home and prepare to resume back to work” . At that moment i knew it was the experience from yesterday that turned the whole situation around. Thank you for continually being a voice of reasoning. God’s blessings always on you Dj Pope. Booking SMDC Festival Grounds for their Trilogy Concert Finale can only mean one thing: They want to do what has never been done by a P-pop group before. It's as if they know that their being good as artists is, unfortunately, not enough to really go global nowadays; that when it comes to talent, there are many, many talented individuals from all over and that they just have to be the standout. It's as if they've come to the realization that the world's largest indoor arena bursting at the seams on two consecutive days in 2025 is not enough to get the world to pay attention. It's as if they don't want to leave any stone unturned. With no disrespect for their fellow musicians, they know they simply need to disallow critics the thought that the outdoor music festivals in their portfolio (Aurora, ACON 2025, etc.) only had record-breaking attendance because other artists were also there. They also know that the producers of the world's largest music festivals, ➡️most of which are held outdoors (Lollapalooza, Coachella, Glastonbury, Summer Sonic, etc.)⬅️, invite talented artists based on their ability to bring in the numbers. If they can pull this off, if they can show the world that they can hold their own in their grandest challenge to date, then maybe, no, POSSIBLY, the world will run out of reasons to look away. SB19 Official #SB19 __________ P.S. My guess is SB19 will pattern their concert based on Ed Sheeran's Mathematics Tour stop in Manila in March 2024.
