Some prison stories are so wild that you almost forget the person telling them is talking about something that actually happened. What caught me here wasn’t even the fight itself. This guy describes getting into a one-on-one with someone everyone was apparently afraid of, getting caught in a headlock, struggling to stay conscious and then somehow ends the story with the most unexpected detail imaginable. The way he tells it so casually makes the whole thing even crazier. You can hear the tension building, and then that final detail completely changes the mood. This is exactly why long-form interviews can be so interesting. You get stories that you simply wouldn't hear in a polished interview.

"The Memory Remains" marked the first time Metallica featured a guest vocalist on one of their studio albums. James Hetfield originally had no lyrics for the song's haunting "la la la" section, which began as a placeholder. The idea eventually evolved into a character inspired by Sunset Boulevard: a forgotten star driven almost insane by the loss of her former fame. When the band decided that the part needed an older female voice, producer Bob Rock suggested Marianne Faithfull, whose weathered voice perfectly captured the atmosphere they wanted. Faithfull recorded her vocals in Dublin while Metallica were on tour in Europe, adding the distinctive backing vocals that became one of the song's most recognisable elements. "The Memory Remains" was released in 1997 as the lead single from Reload, reaching No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100, No. 3 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart, and No. 13 on the UK Singles Chart. The song's demo, simply titled "Memory," had been recorded at Lars Ulrich's home studio as early as 1995.

“Rhythm Is a Dancer” features vocals by Thea Austin and a rap by Turbo B. It appears on Snap!’s 1992 album The Madman’s Return. Turbo B initially rejected the track when he first heard it, but later added his verse. The song is built around a simple, infectious dance groove with Spanish guitar and choir-like textures. Released in 1992, it spent six weeks at No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart and became the best-selling single of the year in the UK. It also topped the charts in Germany, France and several other European countries and reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track is widely remembered for the line “I’m as serious as cancer when I say rhythm is a dancer,” which Turbo B included in his rap. The music video was directed by Howard Greenhalgh and filmed in Florida.
