Berdley is probably my favorite deltarune character, but I’m such a fan of the Weird Route. I made sure to turn the heater on.

in chapter six i need him to get beaten almost to death and dragged to the bunker as he tries his best to take off the knight’s helmet and his fingers get cut off in the fight

Half of me is waiting for the reveal that Berdly’s been in just the right places across town that he already knows the shelter codes, but nobody looking for them bothered to ask him

I'm just saying this, susie is one of the very few people to have no issue saying his name, even when she didn't know him personally, despite how the people who do know him at all still butcher it it's either gaster or suserdly, and suselle is canon

I don't think I'd say that they have equal relevance, Noelle is a playable party member in the chapter, and you can use her to kick-start the weird route. I feel like a lot of people just overestimated his relevance because I personally never assumed he'd be in another dark world

Agree that Berdley deserves to learn about Dark Worlds (especially on the route where his arm gets injured), but I very much disagree with the idea that him and Noelle were equally set up to be important

simply put, the day we show noelle the dark world, berdly will push himself into the conversation leading to him being pulled into this too, hey will then both be actively participating in whatever happens in the chapter but this time as active party members throughout the story

If susie wants ONE person specifically it should be berdly. from my understanding she wanted to get another person to help out with the dark worlds, and if it HAD to be one person I'd say berdly that MF 1v3's the fun gang and doesnt get turned to dust so he's goated

I wish I had as much hope in Toby Fox' writing as you do. I genuinely think berdly has been floundered as a character in this game and it is just too late now to recontextualise the most entertaining little foil in the world. I think trying to twist criticism into theorycrafting-

I think that berdly is going to be the key to defying the prophecy because it only accounts for 4 people and he's gonna pull up, make his own rules, and defy everything that ralsei knows to stop whatever the bad part of the prophecy is from happening

The problem with berdly is the weird route, him being in a coma is very problematic for him being a important part of a chapter, even after chapter 5 beacause of the people who drop the weird route in 4/5 tecnically for them he is still in a coma, sad to be a berdly fan :'(
