I absolutely agree, and it’s about time we addressed it. There is a nerdy White guy Holocaust (a real one) happening. Some of the best White stock out there is being bred away from us. I’m not talking about anime weeb guy. I’m talking about the doctor/lawyer/tech guy who is not super suave or self-assured. (… and is possibly also into anime.) We are losing them to Asian women because they’re being nicer to them, because White geek is still a trophy to Asian women, and because White guy gets to trade up ~2 points. You all know what I am talking about.

After four years apart, the exhilarating mixture of your insatiable energy aligned with beautiful weather made this year's Sonic Temple one for the ages. Columbus holds such a special place in our hearts, as it is where it all started for DWP with the launch of Rock On The Range in 2007. To see you all embracing Sonic Temple in just its second year deeply shows why this city is truly home for us. A heartfelt thank you to all of the fans, artists, staff, sponsors, partners, city, county, and state employees, and the DWP extended family. Without you, none of this would be possible. Special thanks to the Columbus Police and Fire, as well as the Ohio State Patrol, for their commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of festivalgoers. We would also like to thank the employees of the Historic Crew Stadium, hotels, shops, and restaurants who welcomed our fans and provided them with an enjoyable experience during their stay in Columbus. DWP's commitment extends beyond just the event itself, as we also stress giving back to this great city. This year, Sonic Temple attendees have infused more than $40 million dollars into the local economy, including DWP's direct spend of nearly $4M on locally our hired staff, restaurants, hotels, and businesses. One of our favorite things about producing festivals is the positive impact we are able to make on the lives of individuals within our host community. I made videos and discussed these things over a decade ago desperately hoping I was wrong and reading too much into things. I wasn’t and I’m not. I’m so disgusted that not one fucking arrest has been made anywhere, nothing it’s on the table it’s rolling out public they are talking about thanks for the torture videos, kids are being kidnapped and murdered these sickos are eating babies, drinking blood for andrenochrome, performing human sacrifice to get in the club And we are worried about e bikes, super bowls and hurtful words. I’m almost lost for words we are in a sick society. It’s eaten away at me for years and now the proof rolls out publicly and the big discussion point is Payne Haas leaving the broncos. Men, Dads we need to stand up I’ve never been so lost for words in my fucking life

Ten years ago, Ewan was given just six months to live after being diagnosed with Stage 4 Brain Cancer. This year, we got to spend part of his dream day with him at Sonic Temple Festival. Ewan got to hang backstage with Randy, share stories about his journey, and watch our set from side stage. One of the most meaningful moments for us was being able to recognize Ewan from the stage, celebrate his strength, and dedicate a song to him in front of all of you. Exactly! When I sent out a casting call for my first comic series, "Verion Keller's Vampire Killers". I sent out the list and images of all the female characters the VA's could audition for, and all of them avoided Yolanda Briggs. We have gotten so unhinged that people are afraid to voice characters if they aren't the correct color for them. This delayed the promotional project because I had to spend days hoping someone could voice her, and at the last moment, a Sista came in to the rescue. I don't care what color you are, I have casted Black VA's to voice White characters and even the opposite. This character gave me so much backlash from that pocket community who demands you represent blackness according to their idea of what Blackness means. Apparently Piccolo can be called Black. - Knuckles can be called Black. - Yoruichi gets called Black. - Piccolo is recognized as black. But when I, an actual Black creator, tell people that Dr. Yolanda Briggs is a Black woman in MY comic universe… suddenly I’m wrong. That’s when I realized this conversation was never actually about “representation.” Website:
