This excessive hero-worshiping of people who should be seen as 'public servants in pursuit of developing India' needs to be stopped. This can be done by making all civil servants' facilities and privileges equal to say a scientist at @isro. The service already has enough (in fact excessive) number of 'takers'. Talented people will continue to appear in the UPSC, even if the number of facilities is reduced enormously. Requesting the @HMOIndia to take steps to make the facilities of all civil servants (except maybe very senior or well-performing secretaries or those who validly need extra incentives), equal to that of an ISRO or BARC scientists. End this British culture of 'civil servant is a higher life form than say even the best of scientists'. It's already 2024. This isn't the 19th century British Raj of India. Make civil servant class relatively normal, like they are in most market economies, say the US.
